Small Farmers Livelihood Program (SFLP)

The Small Farmer Livelihood Program in Guyana was created to finance efficient, sustainable and market-driven projects. The objective is to provide productive, marketing and capacity building services, materials and equipment to assist poor small farmer groups to increase their incomes by selling their produce through new market linkages. Currently, CHF is providing financial and technical support and training, helping to create new market linkages and supporting the production, processing, marketing, sales and income generation processes in 15 sub-projects.

The project was funded by the Social Entrepreneurship Program of the Inter-American Development Bank and is intended to make credit available to individuals and groups that generally do not have access to commercial or development loans on regular market terms.
