Benishangal-Gumuz Food Security and Economic Growth Program (BSG-FSEG)

The Benishangul-Gumuz Food Security and Economic Growth Program is a large integrated program coordinated by Save the Children Canada on behalf of a 6-member consortium of Canadian NGOs involved in Ethiopia with technical support from the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan. Its objective is to improve the livelihoods of over 25,000 households in seven woredas of Benishangul-Gumuz region in Ethiopia. In this project, CHF is taking the thematic lead in market-led development and will oversee the project implementation in two woredas. CHF will also oversee capacity development to targeted communities, CSOs and local government on market-led approaches, including micro-enterprise and micro-credit.
