Cynthia Farrell is currently the Director of Technical Services for CHF. An employee of our organization since 2001, she has been a key player in an organizational transformation and renewal process that has increased CHF’s revenues, sharpened its programming focus and improved its technical capacity. With more than 20 years of international capacity building experience in Europe, Asia, the Pacific, Africa and the Caribbean, Ms. Farrell has been instrumental in collaborating with CHF’s partners and field offices to refine and document the organization’s approach to capacity building, a key element of CHF’s development model. In addition, she is responsible for overseeing CHF’s business development, organizational learning and operational assets, as well as the provision of technical services to CHF projects.

Ms. Farrell has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, with a concentration in management and the use of strategic alliances for technology development, market development and product development purposes. She served as Chair of the Business Faculty at the College of Micronesia in the Western Pacific, and as Coordinator of the college’s Professional Training Institute for management development.  She has also completed postgraduate work in institutional capacity building at the Teaching University of Iceland.
