CHF’s Global Educators hit the ground running

You have this job, a job that you are incredibly thankful for. It gives you a chance to focus — really focus — on helping students and shaping a new generation. You're a Teacher. One of the most important and influential careers in Canada.

It's also one of the busiest and most demanding. At CHF, we really value the work of teachers and it's for this reason that we have an entire team dedicated to supporting you. Our Global Educators are dedicated volunteers from diverse backgrounds who have been trained on CHF's teaching units. They are eager and excited to talk to your students about global citizenship.

"Engaging with a great group of students makes me want to do more presentations," says Dayna Roberts, Lead Volunteer for CHF. "Facilitating with an engaged class is one of the many reasons why I love volunteering with CHF."

CHF volunteers engage with students and provide them with another perspective on the world and their place in it. For some it can be life-changing to see things in a new way that they had never considered before.

"The students are really passionate about making a difference in the world and showing the school what they can do," said one Calgary teacher. "This also opened up some of the student's eyes and showed them just how lucky they are and what a good life they have."
