When you buy a CHF Gift that Matters, here’s how it works.... The cost of your gift takes into consideration all the factors needed to ensure that it has the greatest possible impact on the lives of people living in poverty. Each item in the catalogue is needed for one or more current CHF projects overseas.

Your donation will be applied to one of them. Once enough funds are raised for the specific type of gift you selected, CHF will apply your donation to another aspect of our projects providing livelihoods for people challenged by poverty. Since our bundled gift baskets offer items from several of our projects, these donations may support more than one of them.

Boat - $2,000

The people in South Sudan earn a living by fishing. The fish is sold in towns along the Nile river. However, many of these fishermen lack canoes. Others have had to make canoes by cutting down valuable, mature trees in the area.

Micro-enterprises for women - $20,000

CHF’s project in South Sudan is providing training of women’s groups in local business development. The skills acquired from this training will enable them to establish and run small businesses effectively and efficiently - maximizing their profit and improving household income.
