Think, Care, Share and Do!
Write in and show us how you:
- Learned about global issues. I read CHF's ebulletin, heard a speaker or researched websites...
- Cared and shared. I am reflecting on how I can help someone I just learned about.
- Did Something! I bought gifts that matter for a real person in need. I helped someone.
Do all three and you are the ULTIMATE Global Citizen!

Celebrating Ultimate Global Citizens...
CHF CROSS-CANADA CHALLENGE STORIES
We heard a speaker and we are learning about how to be global citizens.
We'll be voting on what we will donate by the end of January 2011.
Kids this age (well any age really) love to get recognition for good deeds they've done. I think it solidifies their sense of pride about helping others. Our class was happy to be able to help CHF in their endeavours. The kids really enjoyed being able to choose what gifts we were going to give [through CHF’s Gifts That Matter campaign]. We spent half an hour analysing, debating and voting on it.” ‘They also enjoyed the guest speakers. It's been a great experience all around!’
We have had CHF come into our school for the past 2 years to do a presentation to our grade 2 students and to kick off the Kids Helping Kids campaign at our school. We have raised nearly $4000 in 2 years. I am in the planning stages for another CHF Presentation here and Kids Helping Kids again this year. In the meantime, I have made donation to help in Pakistan.
