Water Works!

By reading or listening to a story students will learn what life is like for rural families in developing countries who have limited access to clean drinking water. Students will learn about some basic uses of water and will discover that water is a resource that does not come easily for everyone around the world. Students will learn about families who carry and conserve water. They will understand the importance of water conservation. Finally, they will engage in a kinesthetic learning exercise by simulating a water relay to compare the ease or difficulty of obtaining water in rural parts of Ghana and Canada.

Lesson Package and save the zip folder to your desktop.To ensure the lesson links to the student sheets, extract all the files by either clicking extract all files under Folder tasks or by right clicking on the saved folder. This will change the zip folder to a regular folder.
